The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is a flexible program that provides funding to address a wide range of unique community development needs. The City of Meridian receives CDBG funds annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The City has adopted a five (5) year consolidated plan that spans from 2022 to 2026, which focuses on 1) public facilities and infrastructure improvements, 2) housing, and 3) public services for low to moderate income Meridian residents. All activities that are funded must meet one of these objectives.
Accessing CDBG Funding
Meridian works with community partners to provide funding for services that are eligible under the CDBG program. Specific services and housing programs are selected through an application process every spring.
- If you are a Meridian resident and would like more information on the programs being funded during the current year, please see the Current Projects at https://meridiancity.org/cdbgprojects ».
- If you would like input on the services to be funded in the upcoming year, please sign up for our mailing list below. The City reaches out annually to request feedback on services that should be funded for the upcoming year.
- If you are a non-profit community partner that is interested in applying for CDBG funding, please review our Housing and Public Service Guidelines » to see if you are eligible for CDBG funding.
